

Self love is anything but selfish....
Loving oneself includes many facets - awareness, care, compassion, esteem, exploration, growth, kindness, and respect.
It is the active practice of recognizing and understanding your self-worth, caring for yourself, and fostering your own personal growth.
It is not a destination to arrive at or a task to conquer. It is a journey of continual growth and care. It is more than a manicure or a coffee mug slogan. This practice, as Dr. Ali states*, requires courage to reflect on where you are, bravery to consider where you want to be, & tenacity to strive to be a better version of your true self.
